Partners from University College Dublin (UCD), Innovative Medicine Centre (IMC, Lithuania), and University of Vigo came together to Dublin (November, 2025) for several productive days of collaboration within the TWINFLAG project.
The visit focused on strengthening expertise in Research & Innovation Management, with training sessions led by UCD’s EU Research Office covering Horizon Europe opportunities, ERC support, project budgeting, grant preparation, and post-award administration.
A dedicated Research Commercialisation day introduced partners to innovation transfer, intellectual property, patents, licensing, spin-out companies, and practical tools such as the Commercialisation Canvas. Participants also received valuable feedback while developing their own research commercialisation strategies.
The final day featured Consortium Research Updates, where researchers from all partner institutions presented ongoing projects spanning extracellular vesicles, cancer research, osteoarthritis, tissue engineering, biomarker discovery, advanced biomaterials, and funding opportunities.
The meeting concluded with discussions, networking, and a consortium dinner, celebrating the strong partnership, shared learning, and the collective mission to advance scientific excellence across Europe.
